It’s often hard to get into a fancy bar with your dog in tow. You won’t have that problem at this Mayfair hotel, though.
Located at the upmarket Sheraton Grand London Park Lane hotel, the Smith & Whistle goes well beyond being dog-friendly.
It features the city’s very first permanent drinks menu for dogs – with doggy alternatives to beer, G&Ts and fancy cocktails starting from only £5.
Designed by the bar’s famous in-house mixology team, plus specialist canine nutritionist David Jackson, the imaginative drinks list has something for all furry friends’ taste palettes.
One for the truly pampered pups, ‘Posh Pooch’ is a 100 per cent natural herbal infusion featuring ginseng, nettle, lime-flower and more.

The ‘Poochie Colada’, meanwhile, a refreshing mix of coconut water and health-boosting kale and broccoli, is sure to go down a treat in the current hot weather.
Have a laidback dog? Opt for the adorably named ‘Hound’s Hops’, which mixes ‘dog beer’ with fresh mint, instead.
Human chaperones don’t have to miss out on the fun drinks either, with cocktails like ‘The Pink Panther’ and mocktail options such as ‘Cool as a Cucumber’.
Remember: it’s not drinking alone if your pet is there – and your pet is actually drinking this time!
Dogs don’t get their own food menu, sadly, but who’s to say you can’t sneak them a nibble of your own burger or mezze plate.

A Smith & Whistle spokesperson said: “We are well known for accommodating four-legged patrons and, with the increase of dog ownership throughout lockdown, we are so pleased to offer a welcoming space for even more dogs and owners to enjoy in the heart of Mayfair.
“Our three bespoke ‘dogtails’ are the perfect treats for London’s pampered pooches, with a range of delicious cocktails hand-crafted by our talented in-house mixology team on offer for human guests to explore as well.
“We are delighted to have reopened fully in line with the Government restrictions and are welcoming guests Monday to Sunday, 12pm to 11pm.
