Tiny cakes, cheeky cocktails and tasteful decorations… What’s not to love about afternoon tea?

Well, courtesy of the Egerton House Hotel, one of our favourite treats just got even more delightful.

The elegant red-brick Knightsbridge venue lets dogs join in the fun with a Doggy Afternoon Tea!

Already renowned for its award-winning human tea, it’s no surprise that this luxury five-star hotel, which is part of the dog-friendly Red Carnation Hotel Group, pulls out all the stops for pooches.

Not only does your furry friend get to eat by your side in the upmarket Victorian townhouse’s stunning Dining Room, but they even get their own menu.

Theirs for £25, the Doggy Afternoon Tea includes a range of tasty treats like ‘Chicken liver meatloaf’ and ‘Peanut butter biscuits’.

Alternatively, dogs can also get their own version of the hotel’s famous martini.

Featuring chicken consommé with turkey skewers, this James Bond-inspired ‘drink’ is served alongside doggy canapes such as crunchy carrot crudités and ‘Scooby protein balls’.

Diners can also choose to pay an optional £2 donation towards Dogs on the Streets, which provides food, vet care and grooming services to homeless dogs, on top of their bills.

The hotel’s prime location in Egerton Terrace means you can easily follow up your tea with a stroll through the quiet, leafy streets nearby. Get to Harrods – which allows dogs provided they’re carried – in seven minutes or stroll to Hyde Park for a leisurely walk in no time.
