Meet the street dog who is so scared by life nobody wants to rehome him.

Poor Earl has been overlooked by all potential owners since arriving in the UK from Romania in September last year.

He was moved to Dogs4Rescue, in Saltford, about three months ago after a rocky start to life in kennels in the UK.

Dogs4Rescue stepped up to offer Earl a ‘kennel-free environment’ – but despite this change, he is still yet to find his forever home.

Emma Billington from Dogs4Rescue has described him as a ‘frightened soul’ but says he does not have any aggressive tendencies and just needs someone to give him a chance.

Emma told TeamDogs: “He was brought into the UK to a kennel where he didn’t cope, as so many foreign dogs don’t.

“They worked well with him getting him used to a lead and walking but was so afraid no one wanted to home him.

“They asked for our help and he has been a quiet, sweet soul who fitted in ok but still doesn’t seek out affection.

“He walks gently on lead and is quiet in the home.

“We have had no serious applications for him and yet he doesn’t do anything wrong.”

Earl, who is yet to learn not everybody wants to hurt him, is slowly starting to trust people again.

Emma added: “He needs a quiet home where he will slowly learn to trust.

“He does follow you around when he trusts you but he’s still afraid of eye contact and touch but never snaps.

“He could do with a confident resident dog to help him learn to trust his people.”

Earl is silent, house clean and great with other dogs and needs an owner who is patient and understanding. He tends to bond with one person.

“We hope he won’t be waiting too much longer, he deserves his chance,” added Emma.
