Super Staffies hold onto #1 slot in hunt to find UK's favourite breed

Staffies have dominated the top position since day one but that could all change

Dog owners all over the UK have been championing their favourite breed and so far it’s looking like Staffies are the most loved.

TeamDogs, in association with Pooch & Mutt, wants to find out what dog breed is the most favoured in Britain and it needs your help.

The affectionate Staffordshire Bull Terrier has nabbed the top spot since day one and is currently topping the leaderboard but that could all change.

On why the Staffy got her vote, dog owner Suzanne Sargent said: “Our Staffie Lola is extremely loving and although friendly, remains indifferent towards her canine counterparts - preferring human company every time.

“A game in the garden, long walk or simply a 'cuddle up' on the sofa, she'll be happy to oblige - as long as she's with you.

“This love of human company has been clearly apparent in each of the three Staffies we've been lucky enough to own and others we have encountered.”

Each week the 10 breeds with the lowest amount of votes will be eliminated.

Some of the breeds TeamDogs said goodbye to this week included the Afghan Hound, the Maltipom and the Welsh Springer.
