The entire TeamDogs community knows what it’s like to lose a dog. So we were all heartbroken for Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick when we heard his border terrier Kiera died just short of a year after being hit by a van.
The incredible vet has saved hundreds of pets’ lives - and he’s let us all watch his amazing life-saving work on our TV.
So, we thought the least we could all do was send our thoughts and love to him from everybody at TeamDogs.
If you would like to share your condolences, leave a message here and we will pass every one of them on to Noel on your behalf. Please leave your message before Friday, September 17.
Paying tribute to his 13-year-old border terrier, Noel wrote on Instagram: “I know that she touched many lives with her light. With great love comes great pain, but her love will be inside me forever.
“She inspired everything I do for animals and her legacy will be eternal. I will pay full tribute to my little girl once we have had some time to grieve.”
The loss of Kiera hit all of us who have ever lost a family member - because that’s exactly what they are to us at TeamDogs.
You’ve already shown us how supportive you are on our Facebook page.
“My heart goes out to this truly amazing veterinary surgeon, who shows such love to every animal entering his surgery. The loss of his most beloved Kiera is devastating and people all over the country will be grieving for him and with him, and sending their love and deepest sympathy,” Yvonne commented.
“I absolutely adore this man and the way he cares about animals. My heart aches for him losing his furry companion,” Joanne said.
Julie said: "They touch our lives for such a short time. It’s so hard when they go. Thoughts are with you."
And that's just a few of your touching messages.
To show Noel how much we care, let’s send him as many kind thoughts as we possibly can. It’s the least we can do for a super man and Supervet.
