A pointer cross is looking for a new home after experiencing extreme neglect and suffering during his short life.

Four-year-old Jet was rescued from Cyprus where he was found in a terrible state of emaciation and covered in ticks.

He only had days to live.

But after being rescued by Cyprus Dog Rescue, run by Andrea Siddons who nursed him back to health, he is now looking for a fresh start.

Salford-based rescue Dogs4Rescue is now hoping to find him a new home.

Beautiful Jet is described as being ‘food obsessed’ although Dogs4Rescue’s Emma Billington said that this has helped with his training.

Emma also said: “He is good in the home, very chilled and happy but he does get anxious when on lead near other dogs.

“He is in foster and progressing well with exposure and training. Off lead here in our pack he is no problem but as with many he has some lead reactivity meaning he is hard to rehome.

“Four years young he is so loving, playful and a joy to cuddle. He arrived early 2021 and even with the huge demand for dogs, is still looking for a home.”

Because of Jet’s nervousness around other dogs, he is looking for a home with someone who can help him to relax.

He’s a house-trained quiet soul who simply needs someone who will love him.

His new owner will also need some patience when it comes to lead training.

Jet can’t live with young children and cannot live with cats because of his high prey drive.

But he loves people and is very treat motivated.

Could you give this sweet boy a safe and loving home?
