A video showing a cat pushing a dog off a chair has become a worldwide hit across the internet.

During the clip, viewers see Aiko the Shiba Inu jump onto a spinning chair to reach the tabby cat sitting on top of a desk.

As the canine attempts to nip the feline's leg, the cat pushes Aiko back with its paw, causing the dog to fall back and slip off the seat.

Despite the chair hitting a glass door, the pet seemingly appears unhurt, leaving the cat sitting victoriously above.

The nine-second footage was captured by American journalist Jeff Yang who uploaded the video to his Twitter account on July 30.

Captioned: "Not my dog's best moment." the short clip has been viewed over 350,000 times and liked more than 23,000 times.

Jeff responded to the viral hit by replying to his post, saying: "There is this moment where Aiko looks wildly around and has a sudden revelation in her furry brain about the laws of physics that's absolutely classic."

Followers of Jeff left tonnes of comments saying how they found the video "hilarious" on both the dog and cat's reactions.
