A popular ice cream brand has launched its first ever flavour for dogs - and it’s raising money for rescue animals!
Jude’s has revealed its canine-friendly strawberry, apple and banana ice cream, in a partnership with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
The Hampshire-based business has developed the plant-based product using real fruit purees, meaning both you and your pooch can enjoy the taste of Jude’s ice cream together this summer.
A tub costs £1.50, available from Ocado, and 5% of sales will go directly to supporting all the hard work Battersea Dogs and Cats Home does.
Chow Mezger, Jude’s managing director, said: “As a family of dog-lovers we are delighted to launch ice cream for dogs so now the whole family, including the pooch, can enjoy our utterly delicious ice cream.
“Our family Jack Russell, Tinker, loved being chief taste tester and we’re pleased to say that it has her full approval!
“Working with Battersea has also been fantastic, and we couldn’t be more proud to support their vital work to help dogs and cats everywhere.”
And Battersea are excited to be involved with the launch of the product supporting their residents.
Sarah Van Kirk, licensing manager at Battersea, added: “Battersea is delighted to be working with an innovative and environmentally conscious UK-based company like Jude’s. We’re really excited about this collaboration with royalties from each product going directly towards the care of dogs and cats.”
