Pet influencers might seem like a strange idea, but for many dogs a life on social media can be fun - and potentially lucrative. While some of us just post the odd picture to Facebook or Insta, others seek the limelight (a spot on the TeamDogs Instagram, for example!) and dog-focused accounts can be super-endearing, too. Plus, there are sponsorships and even book deals on offer for those picture-perfect pups.
If you’re looking for inspiration, then look no further as we’ve rounded up some of the coolest and funniest dogs around the world for you to follow and perhaps even be inspired to start your pet’s Instagram journey, too.
Tika The Iggy
Breed: Italian Greyhound
Tika shows off her fashion style and has even modelled for Vogue (yep, really). The Quebec, Canada-based hound is a star thanks to the hilarious voiceovers from her owner which saw Tika go viral on TikTok.
Olive and Mabel
Breed: Labrador Retrievers
The handle for this pair of Labs is actually their owner, sports commentator Andrew Cotter, who started commentating on videos of his dogs during lockdown. Next thing you know, there’s a book deal for the trio and a newspaper column for Andrew.
Jiff looks just like a teddy bear, and, coupled with some super cute outfits, has amassed 10.4m followers on one account, plus 89.3k on a second one, @jiffpomlife
Breed: Chiweenie (a cross between Chihuahua and Dachshund)
High fashion bows to Tuna’s demands! An overbite and snaggly teeth do NOT stand in the way of this fashionista, last seen posing in a wig and shades for New York Fashion Week.
Jackson the Dalmatian
Bow ties are Jackson’s thing! Often snapped with his doggy ‘brothers’ Heath, Bennet and Timmy, Jackson (who is from Houston, Texas) has a superb wide grin and is always beaming for the camera.
Harlow and Indiana
Breed: Weimaraner and Miniature Dachshund
Harlow’s first beloved Mini Dachshund partner-in-crime was Sage, who sadly passed away in 2013 from old age. Indiana came to rescue Harlow’s heart, and the pair now pose up a storm together.
Doug is living his best technicolour life, from Yoda ears to bobble hats. One of Doug’s unique selling points is his ‘appearances’ in TV shows and with celebs. Take Puggerton (aka Bridgerton) for example…
